Listed companies and their advisors need to move fast — an announcement is being drafted, a transaction is being structured, a disclosure obligation is in question. The answer exists in the rulebook. Finding it, in context, under time pressure, was the problem.
The existing approach was manual: search PDFs, read through provisions, cross-reference guidance notes, and apply judgment about whether a rule mapped to the situation at hand. Relevant provisions were routinely missed not because people weren't thorough, but because the material wasn't designed to be queried — it was designed to be read.
We built a search product trained on the full ASX Listing Rules, Guidance Notes, and published Waiver decisions. Users query in plain language — describing a situation, a transaction type, a disclosure question — and the system surfaces the relevant rules, cross-references, and precedent decisions that apply.
The product was built for a specific client and is now being evaluated for broader market release. For listed companies and their advisors, the time between a regulatory question arising and a confident answer is no longer measured in hours.
